Elise Viadere
Energy and climate policy
Elise Viadere is a research fellow at the Centre for European Reform, specialising in energy and climate policy.
Before joining the CER, she worked as a doctoral researcher at the European Center for Advanced Research in Economics and Statistics (ECARES), where she researched price signals for the energy transition. Alongside her doctoral research, she worked for the European Commission’s DG ENER on the impact of the energy crisis on consumers and energy contracts. She was also a visiting researcher at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR) and contributed to policy reports for the Belgian Federal Ministry of Economy (SPF Economie).
Prior to her doctoral research, Elise worked at the London Stock Exchange on climate scenario economics and at the French electricity company EDF on optimal carbon tax policy.
Elise holds a Master of Research in Quantitative Economics from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL and a PhD in Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
