CER/EP Liaison Office in the UK expert roundtable on 'EU-UK security and foreign policy co-operation'
With Sandro Gozi, MEP and Chair of the European Parliament's Delegation to the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly (PPA), on the occasion of the 6th meeting of the PPA.
The PPA was created under the Trade and Co-operation Agreement as a post-Brexit institution and forum for parliamentarians to exchange views on the implementation and operation of the Agreement. As the European security environment worsens, better EU-UK co-operation on foreign policy, security and defence is essential. The event discussed the prospects of improved EU-UK foreign policy and security co-operation, including co-operation on defence initiatives such as the EU's loan facility SAFE.
