Our speakers will discuss the challenges for the EU in becoming a tech powerhouse and explore the strategies to overcome them. The Union's regulatory power in the tech field is well-known - its ability to nurture new tech firms less so. Data suggests that the EU is very good at creating start-ups, but needs to improve in helping them scale up. What is the missing component? What are the best ways to attract and retain tech talent? What can the EU and the UK learn from each other?

This event will also be the launch of an informal EU in Tech Network, aiming to bring together EU citizens working in tech across the UK.
